  • Wild Deer Survey

    North West Local Land Services is encouraging anyone who has had contact with wild deer in the Liverpool Plains local government area and surrounds to provide input to a short online survey that will take around 15 minutes. Community members and interested groups are invited to provide their comments and feedback Survey is open until 11 April 2016

  • Sowing Larger Seeded Faba Bean

    The variety “PBA Nasma” has significantly larger seed than previous varieties released for northern NSW which will improve market acceptance. In trials, PBA Nasma has demonstrated higher yield than older varieties and acceptable disease resistance, as a result it is likely to be widely adopted in the north. The larger seed size may result in additional blockages in some planting machinery, however adequate preparation and setup of planters can easily eliminate these issues.

Carpe Diem a short 45 minute production by John wood is an entertaining look at how friendship and proper care give a man the strength to cope and the tools to carry on. No man is an island.” The tour dates for May are as follows: Tues 10th Bellata Wed 11th Wee Waa Thurs 12th Pilliga Fri 13th Gwabegar Sat 14th Baan Baa (Sat 14th) (Wee Waa Show) Sun 15th Maules Creek The show will be followed by a BBQ with John Wood. Where available, counselors, rural financial counselors and Community Health nurses will also attend. This is a free event provided by Carers NSW and Richmond PRA.
