2017 Schools Property Planning Competition
This free competition is an innovative way teachers can assist year 11 Agriculture students to study physical processes and sustainable farm management practices, through the property planning process.
While undertaking the project, participants also gain first-hand experience of career opportunities in the rural sector.
Participants are given the scenario that they are a team of consultants who have been asked by a landholder to prepare a property plan on a real life property, ensuring that it is run as an economically and ecologically sustainable business.
The competition is free to all schools in the Namoi catchment. It includes all materials on the web, free bus travel to a field day at the study property and attendance to a tutorial in their town.
