Funding for Natural Resource Management Projects

The North West Local Land Services is pleased to announce our on-ground natural resource management grants for 2015 are now open.

Over one million dollars is earmarked for on ground projects across the North West region.

The  North West LLS on-ground grants are  funded by the  Australian Governments National Landcare Program, Clean Energy Fund and Catchment Action NSW.

Sara Chapman Team Leader Natural Resource Management at North West Local Land Services is keen to encourage landholders and groups across the  North West region to apply for funding.

"We are looking to support projects that will either protect and manage rivers and creeks or improve habitat for threatened species.

"Other projects that can attract funding are  re vegetation or regeneration of  native vegetation  and projects that  manage key emerging invasive weeds,

"If you have a project in mind and are unsure if its fits the guidelines the  best thing to do is call  your nearest North West LLS office and ask to talk to a member of the Natural Resource Management team, who can assist  you with the guidelines and application process.

"Alternatively a copy of the program expression of interest form and guidelines is available on our website," said Sara.

Expressions of Interest must be submitted by close of business on October 16 2015.
