Regional Weed Management

The North West Regional Weed Committee (NWRWC) was established on 17 December, 2015.

The committee encourages and works towards effective of weed management planning across the north west region.

The new regional weed committee comprises representatives from more than 20 organisations including local control authorities, public and private landholders and community members involved in weed management across the north west.

The committee provides a forum for the local community and stakeholders, an opportunity to learn and share awareness, and is paramount in protecting the region from environmental threats.

The purpose of the NWRWC is to provide ‘tenure-neutral’ strategic planning and coordination of weed management activities at the regional level. These activities play an integral part in an overall state weed management framework.
